I promised Robin I wouldn’t write about Alex and the Juice today. And here I am going back on my word. Can you blame me? Seems everyone lies these days. So I’ve decided to apologize to Robin.

Dear Robin,

I’m really sorry I wasn’t exclusively forthright in my earlier communication regarding the potential for me to type the words Alex, Rodriguez and steroid. But, I have this abscess in buttocks that is really messing with my dexterity. As a result I may have inadvertently typed one or more, or less, of the words I said I would not type.

Mostly I’m sorry for the kids. I work so hard to set a good example. I never asked to be a role model, but I am willing to shoulder the burden. See, it’s just that so many people tell me things. I have trainers, managers, agents, producers, sound guys, DPs…YOU…that I get all confused and quite frankly don’t even know what I am typing half the time.

What I do know is that I promise not to do it again until your short-term memory fades and I can dupe you without it hurting my financial situation. Cuz at the end of the day it’s all about the coin kids.
