One game.

One game to wash over the open, frozen tundra of Phillie championship dysfunction. The tundra forged, of course, by 125 years of Philadelphia baseball dotted with one, lonely World Series win in 1980.

They say the 4th win is the hardest. But even after a 10-2 thrashing, the Rays will come out like Mike Singletary in a post-L presser. They have been dangerous all season, they will be dangerous again.

But The Girls have plans - and they include a parade and a few countless tally of pubs along the way this Wednesday. As much respect as we have for Joe the Manager (not Sixpack, Plumber or any other Joe that has become suddenly a spokesperson for Real America), he has years ahead of him. It’s Manuel’s time.

Go Hamels. Go Phillies. Let’s do this thing!
