It’s on, a once-in-a-blue-moon non-sweep MLB series headed to the ‘away’ field. Did we mention that the Phillies are our team, the beloved MLB squad of the Fantoo Girls?

Robin will be headed to Center City in mere hours to take in the Flyers game, next door to Citizen’s Bank Park. There will then be tailgates, communal Philly love and finally, a trip home to watch the game in front of the TV with friends, rain allowing.

The Rays rolled into town yesterday to make their home away from home in the City of Brotherly Love. Oh, you didn’t catch the team coming off the plane in their Ed Hardy T-shirts and baggy pants?

Well, it was because they were wearing, excuse me, they were ALL wearing this identical outfit for travel, that went a little something like this…

They will return to looking like the upstarts they are in due time. But apparently Joe Maddon wanted to set the tone. He does things in his own style, and we can only wonder if the closer looking ‘the most relaxed in his prep school khakis’ will get the nod to close out tonight.

Considering that Maddon is ‘one of the most intelligent men in a baseball uniform’, it seems only fitting.
