Posting the Picks - It’s Derby Time
First and foremost - make yourself a mint julep.

Looks good, don’t it? We’re parched just gazing at this picture. Here’s how to create this dreamy cocktail (as if you didn’t know):
- 4 fresh Mint sprigs (from Morocco)
- 2.5 oz Bourbon Whiskey (from Kentucky)
- 1 tsp powdered sugar (harvested from Nepal during riot)
- 2 tsp water (from underground Swiss spring)
- ice (from arctic circle found drifting after shelf broke off)
Now for the picks:
Carol has (1) Colonel John (2) Big Brown (3) Z Fortune
Robin has (1) Pyro (2) Cool Coal Man (3) Big Brown
Radar simply has “Pyro by 3 lengths”

Fun Derby Fact:
In 1973, Secretariat set the record time for the Derby (at its current distance) of 1:59.40 and also finished the race with each quarter being faster than the previous. The record still stands. He went on to win the Triple Crown.
Although Affirmed is the last Triple Crown winner (1978), Secretariat is the true stud.
The sire that launched 600 foals, Secretariat:
