Heads Up!

A teaser of a post as The Girls have been insanely busy in the world of sport these past few days. Well, one Girl. The other is lounging on a tropical paradise…that would be Robin.

Tomorrow is a big day for sports and those that occasionally govern them. Roger Goodell will speak with Sen. Arlen Specter, and (as if you hadn’t heard) Roger Clemens and Brian McNamee will state their case before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Don’t get me started on the fact that the HOGRC should be focusing on GOVERNMENT REFORM. It’s always easier to clean up somebody else’s mess, no?

If you are a loyal listener to the Fantoo Girls podcast (we love each and every one of you) you know that we have a different take on what might be going on in the clouded (NOT clean and clear by any means) world of the MLB. So, in advance of a detailed breakdown on our thoughts regarding Roger Clemens and the accusations brought upon him by the Mitchell “Report”, we leave you with the question we have been asking ourselves for the last several weeks:

Is it not plausible that a team’s management (coach, GM, whomever with the power) could have requested of a trainer that he inject a player with a performance enhancing substance without his knowledge?

Ponder that question; the one no one else is asking. Tomorrow we will provide the logic for the thougt.

Hearings are at 9:30 EST and a fresh post will be up before they conclude.

Till then…in sports…
Carol
