Post Bowl Bonanza
Now that the Super Bowl is past and we’re all crying in our beer (although none quite as hard as the Pats’ fans), it’s time to reflect a little on the game that was.

Is it just us, or was that one of the best Super Bowl games ever?
The opener, with the Declaration of Independence - the most suitable dedication to the troops we have seen. It just means more when the dedication is not “brought to you by Pepsi.” Jordin Sparks? She didn’t jazz up the National Anthem (too much) and nailed it. Nailed. It. Best since Whitney.
FOX did a great job of letting the action speak for itself. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman ‘managed the game’ like pros and stepped back when necessary - best exemplified by their coverage of the Manning pass to David Tyree in what was the best play of the game - and possibly the century. But there was too much Terry Bradshaw - give that guy some rest.
Yeah, yeah, there was a 3rd quarter with no points put up in this low-scoring affair, but that’s defense for you. The Girls were on the edge of their seats for the whole game.
And the ads - while not all great, there were some winners.
Robin likes anything with Will Ferrell and Carol loved the E-Trade talking and barfing baby.

But most importantly, there was the game. The Girls give Big Blue and Eli Manning BIG props for snaring the Vince Lombardi Trophy. The Giants ended up taking it to the house in the final 2+ minutes. Beating the Pats at their own come-from-behind game and taking the Super Bowl. The Pats may be 18-1 but the Giants are 14-6 and the World Champions. Ticker tape parade is today at 2:30. Now they can join Shockey and dip into the margaritas he was drinking out in Glendale…

Adieu for now, football. The Girls will miss you. Now, when is that combine, again?
