Fired Sherpas, Taunted Kitties And Our 100th EPISODE with The Girls!

Our 100th Episode has arrived!

Well, it arrived two days ago, but it feels like just yesterday. We hope you enjoy it and thanks for hooking up to our ride for the past two years. We’ve had a blast.

Here’s hoping for many sacks tonight. Nothing against the Patriots - except for that cute little cheating thing -

but we always go soft for the underdog. This is the last weekend for regular season football so tailgate like you never will again. Even though you will again next year.

And for all of you that received SIRIUS radios for Christmas don’t forget to tune in The Fantoo Girls on Fridays from 1-3PM EST. It’s the most fun you’ll have talking sports.

Happy New Year and best wishes for all your teams to win. And now we gift you Episode 100…

Fired Sherpas, Taunted Kitties And Our 100th EPISODE with The Girls!

Today The Girls are coming to you live from the NFL Network, where they have learned an important Christmas lesson: the masses must be treated to Bryant Gumble calling the final game for the undefeated Patriots as they take on the Giants at Giants/Jets/Whoever Wants Me Today Stadium. We knew it all along. They couldn’t hide him anymore. The WORLD must be able to witness the magic that is Gumble. Whew. Close call. You might have had to keep that Sherpa to get you up to the NFL Network.

So, are you a Patriot Lover or a Patriot Hater? Something to ponder.

And while you’re at it, raise a glass with us as we celebrate our very own (and without the use of steroids or HGH, mind you) 100th Episode of the Fantoo Girls. It’s been nearly two years that we have been cuddling up with you weekly to pay homage to the world of sport, and we’ve cherished every moment. And every beer. If you’ve missed any of them, you can tool around in the archives and take a ride.

We’re hitching it to the NFL, where many big games await. Match ups that matter for all, for one or for none. Every game is going to have consequences which will affect who we see next year and in what uniform. Getcha popcorn. Giants fans are breaking the cardinal rule, the Redskins are red hot and Indy remains quite cool…and very under the radar. We smell upset in the coming weeks.

Along with upsets, The Girls love streaks (and streakers) and no one is streaking more than the Portland Trailblazers, all without Greg Oden. Portland is a fun team to watch, Miami is a fun team to psychoanalyze, and the Lakers leave us wondering just how good the make-up lovin’ was because that team is jellin’. And just think, we’ve not had a Mark Cuban outburst yet, and the All-Star game is still a few months away. Makes you feel tingly, doesn’t it?

Where are you? Where have you been? In the owner’s box?

Just like Sidney Crosby must have felt when he dropped his gloves for the first time on NHL ice. Andrew Ference didn’t stand a chance. Well, okay, he really did stand a chance but Sidney was ready to set the record straight. While he will take all the protection afforded him as a franchise player, he still has feelings, he’s human. Taunt him and he’ll get mad enough to man up. It just might not happen for another three years, so savor this one.

And in this week’s IT HAS TO BE SAID we discuss why “Here, Kitty-Kitty” is only appropriate in backyards. So grab your face mask, your swan song and your record books - it’s time to talk sports with The Girls!
