FedEx Fan Faking, Raw Deals and Padre Pummeling with The Girls!
After some technical difficulties we are happy to post the latest podcast which welcomes back Radar, the master behind the masterpiece. A huge thanks to Jay, who held down the fort in spectacular fashion during Radar’s recovery.
For the rest of the week we will be glued to the TV as baseball sings its swan song. Wow - that went fast, no?
Tomorrow on our SIRIUS show we will have Shane Victorino of the Philadelphia Phillies, James Jones of the Green Bay Packers (our Rookie Look of the Week) and New York Times bestselling author, Tom Callahan, who will discuss the unprecedented access he had to Ernie Accorsi and the 2006 New York Giants, the subjects of his new book “THE GM: The Inside Story of a Dream Job and the Nightmares that Go with It”. It’s going to be a busy, busy Friday for the Fantoo Girls - check it out on SIRIUS Sports Central, Channel 123 from 1-3pm EST.
Also posted tomorrow will be our picks for this week. You don’t want to fill out your office pool before checking ours out. We spend hours on the analysis, writing algebra equations, listening to The Wall backwards, all in an effort to make sure you win. Remember, it’s the effort that counts. Or as Mark Cuban says, “It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.” He ought to know!
Just for fun, here is the footage that could’ve landed Cuban on Dancing With The Stars. We just never get tired of this 10-second clip and we know you wont, either.
So enjoy this week’s podcast. We made it especially for you.
FedEx Fan Faking, Raw Deals and Padre Pummeling with The Girls!
Episode 88
On this auspicious occasion, we come to you from Lame-ville, which is situated not far from the Beltway. In this murky and clandestine place, the depths of the Washington Redskins’ game-planning think tank (as well as the depths of desperation) are exploited to (try to) get the win. But their tactics failed - and now we’re paying attention.
We are also watching with vigilance the every move of Gerald Poindexter, as he fashions his 15 minutes of fame on the back of other people’s hard work. We’ll let him have his ’secret proceedings’ because we get no answers from him out in the open. But it’s no secret that he failed to push for animal cruelty - and that is a crime worse than having Gerald ‘Small Time’ Poindexter seeking attention as the sun sets over the Vick case.
The Girls sound off on the vocal stylings of Mike Gundy and the keyboard stylings of Jenni Carlson. Apparently, Oklahoma’s Coach Gundy wants reporters to back off his ‘kids’ and criticize only their performance. But Carlson does not back down from her article that defines the ‘kid’ in question (21-year-old Oklahoma QB Bobby Reid) as a coddled momma’s boy. It looks like a small Oklahoman tornado has developed. But like most natural disasters, it, too, will become less severe with time.
We have talked about imports from China for many weeks now - it’s kind of been a theme. Little did we know that the import most negatively effecting our consumption of sports would also come from the land of Confucius. Operation Raw Deal will expose the inner workings of this steroid scheme. But for those of you purchasing raw material from China to make your own steroids - you better start paying attention.
We dedicate the beer of the week to ‘finished’, not raw, products from China and imbibe TsingTao Lager. Um, all we can say is ‘Yung Sing!!’ - or, ‘drink and win.’
Taste? Well, you get the picture.

The NFL provides the Girls with countless stories of hardship, hype and DeAngelo Hall - with a few benchings mixed in for good measure. We look to an up-and-comer from the Pack as our Rookie Look, but are still waiting for him to emulate professional wrestler, Dingo Warrior, on the field. A few round houses and broken chairs to the back might help.
The Girls wrap up with a closer look at Milton Bradley and the fracas at first base - part of what is making the Pennant Races so unpredictable.
And last, we answer the question - ‘what could make NASCAR just a little more classy?’ So get your local brew and stay on the edge of your seat - it’s time to talk sports with The Girls.
